pictures, announcements, and me
Hello! Hello!!
I hope everyone had a splendid weekend!
I felt this weekend went by slower then usual which was ok with me!!
Before I get to my announcement... I have to show you some pics from the weekend!
Saturday we ended up at the park playing in the sand with the kids! And you might notice that we are using Pilot and Mcd's cups to play in the sand. We didn't have shovels or buckets so Aunt LaLa improvised! :)
So sweet! After got that sand he poured it on his head and tried to eat it :) |
She swinging in a big swing! She was very proud! |
Some of my readers may or may not have known that I went to an interview at the end of September. It would have a been a great opportunity however I never heard from them. I thought the interview went well. I prayed and asked the Lord to shut the door if its not what he wanted.
So, lastweek I received a phone call from the department I interviewed with. She said that she really had enjoyed interviewing me but that had went with someone else. However, a position just came open and she wanted to know I would be interested in looking at it. She thought it would be a good fit for me.
Of course I said yes!! I went to the interview Friday. I cannot even tell you the peace I felt that day. I was relying and trusting on the Lord.
What was supposed to be (I thought) an interview for a different position almost felt like a proposal to myself for the job. The gentleman I interviewed with was obviously passionate about what this new program entailed.
The grant was just approved and they could ONLY hire 2 people. It is a fantastic program and I was so excited just to hear about it. It is working with students who are in high school but are not excelling at an academic level or that might be perceived to likely in dropping out. This programs is going to be designed to help these students stay in school and go toward a vocation. Teaching them some life skills. Transportation on the bus line we have here. Job shadowing. I would be occasionally in front of a class to do minor things. Performing assessments. And be apart of coming up with the curriculum to get this program off the ground.
After going over the grant that had be written he asked if I would be interested... and what were my thoughts
Of course I said YES I'M INTERESTED!! But I was very calm on the outside! Not to mention the pay is beyond what I could have imagined.
The experience invaluable! The fact that I'm going to be apart of something bigger then myself is exciting and I can't wait!
This is so God! He knew that this grant was coming before anyone did. He knew that I was meant to be in this position. No one knew that the grant was going to get approved when I went for the first interview! To God be the Glory!!
See I told ya amazing!!
I'm still going to stay at my current job (which I love by the way)! And work both for now. Hopefully there will not be too many conflicts... but I know God will lead me there too! :)
I know God has great things in store!
God loves me. I can't stop praising his name!!
