Oh Yes another weekend has come and gone. I've gotten a lot done this weekend. It's been a nice a weekend! And I'm SOO excited about Josh and I's weekend next week! Only one week away!! I'm doing my first One Thousand Blessings with Kate's Life ...So glad I found her blog. Her candidness cracks me up! =) But before we do that... Here is some pics of my weekend funness! I dyed my hair! I used the new foam type dye! WOW!! Coming from Someone who has home dyed her hair many MANY many times this was the easiest! This is the dye   Finished and styled Josh approved and it seemed to be liked. Which I was ready to be back brown. The color was Iced mahogany dark brown. So I was then ready for DATE NIGHT!! Yay! One of our NYR was to try different things. So we headed to Latitude 35, a restraunt/club downtown in the square. No, people we didn't go to the club it was closed and thats not our scene anyway... The restraunt was very modern. I like

I get  way to shweaty lol   3. D o you put makeup/actual clothes on when you know you're going to be home all day with just family?  I get dressed but in my comfy clothes. No make up and hair is usually in a clip   4. H ow old were you when you had your first alcoholic beverage? Um, let see. 18 I think tasted some wine. Nothing major lol 5. How many ill calls in a 12 month period do you think are acceptable? I think one at least a month. If you work 12mo out of the year you should have at least accrue a day for each month. Thoughtful Thurday

Last night was such a blessing. First off  it was mid-week service. Some weeks it is a race to get there, be prepared to teach, then stay late for choir practice. But I enjoy every minute of it. There have been countless times that I have went just in a foul mood and as soon as I let go and worshiped my Jesus all was right again. I'm telling you people there is no other God like him... the peace he gives is beyond words. Any who, our children's ministry tries to put something together every Valentines day. Usually a fund raiser type thing. This year Pastor Sharon (asst. pastor and children's director) just didn't feel released about our usual, so she messaged everyone. She posed that we as individual classes would come up with our own message of LOVE. God's LOVE. So my wheels started turning. Because J and I are team leaders over Jr.High. After some time in prayer and thought something came to mind. A drama. From the time I was nine years old I have had a love o

Here and Now

The Lord is just so amazing. I love how he knows my heart better then I do. When I have no answers he has them all... I've mentioned in another post HERE  , where I talk about Pushdownism. (Its a real condition I tell ya!) So the reason I'm visiting this place is again... I'm guilty of it... again. Last night was corporate prayer. It was wonderful.  Backup a bit *BBEEEPP, BEEEP!*  =) This past weekend was filled with an array of different things. One of the major things was my little nephew Eli had to have tubes. Which is a common procedure. But obviously we all couldn't help feeling a little pins and needles. So I got to have my niece spend the night with us because the surgery was so early. Which was just a BLAST!! She is so cute! Then there is another issue I can't really go into but it is involving two persons I love dearly. I'm worry about both being harmed because of one of the persons lifestyle. AND there is nothing I can do until

Its that time again! Linking up with Jamie ! * I'm Loving that Jesus loves me beyond myself *I'm Loving that I'm finally getting this philosophy thing and almost done with my first paper (which I should be doing right now) *I'm Loving the my niece will be spending the night Sunday night! *I'm Loving little surprises... Like free pizza for lunch instead of Roman Noodles =) *I'm Loving that I'm getting one more class closer to graduating *I'm Loving our rearranged living room. My hubby was right, it has added so much room! *I'm Loving Monday night prayer. Its such a great thing to have that personal time with Jesus, but when we are involved in corporate time of prayer such a sweet spirit surrounds us. Love it! Ok thats all!! What are you guys loving?

Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, St. Augustine, St. Thomas...

These are the names that are swimming in my head. Here I thought I was heading into a history class and to my surprise, NOPE. Its been philosophy, ALL philosophy. The problem with this particular class is our professor is a graduate of either Yale or Stanford. Yes, she is teaching a group of older adults from East Tennessee. I'm not bashing East TN, or putting them down. But people here tend to think in a box. Small town syndrome. Not really up for new things.  If you had been in my class and seen the gaze of blank stares you would agree. I was one of these blank stares. For one we were supposed to have read 1st and 2nd chapter. Which all together is about 100 pages 2 columns per page (The Republic, Politics). So yeah, I was completely LOST! I wasn't the only one (thankfully). So now I had double reading this week and 2 papers. (City of God, On Kingship) I didn't think one class could make me feel so inadequate  I can't tell you how many words I have had to look up

5QF- With one of my questions!

Image
I am so EXCITED about this!! Thanks to Katie (who is filling in for Mama M. ) for picking my suggestion for one of the questions!!!  So here goes...  1. What's the the last thing you bought for yourself? Deodorant... (your welcome) Yes this was actually a wonderful thing. Because I'm such an oddball unique person I can't just use ANY deodorant. I have to use only one certain kind, other wise my underarms have a fit... (My pits have a fit... sorry couldn't help myself) So after using baby powder for a couple of days I received my deodorant.  2. What is your favourite meal on a cold winter day?  Probably a tuna sandwich, I know strange right? But tuna sandwiches remind me of when we would get snowed in as kids and mom was working on a tight budget. Tuna goes a long way. =) I still can't make it like her, it could be in my head though lol 3. Have you started looking at swimsuits for this year, and do you buy a new one every year? Um, no. I will be buying a n

Below is an insert from the "About" section... I encourage you to join and lets stick together and support healthy marriages!!  Decades of the media bombarding us with visions of unhappy wives and daunting divorce statistics made me think about the rarity of my marriage and the joy I feel as a wife.  Then it hit me!  I can't be the only one.  There must be others out there who view marriage and spending time with their husband as one of the absolute greatest blessings in their life. With this thought in mind, I've set out on a mission.  I believe there are millions of wives all over the world just like me and I&#

I used to the girl that felt she wasn't as pretty/sexy/worthy because of my weigh and personality, but, I'm not that girl anymore because I finally realized that God made me who I am and what I should be. fat-skinny-short-tall, I excepted me for me. I'm happy with myself. Then marrying Josh just boosted this obviously. He accepted me for who I am , and LOVES every bit of me body, mind, and soul. 2. Describe yourself in three words. Loving.
