1.   What giveaway would you like to do on your blog? I would love to be that popular! :) I would love to try out something and give a review. Then offer a contest or something.  Make-up, an electronic, food, what ever! I'm your girl! :) 2.  If you had to choose between natural artistic ability and natural athletic ability, which would it be? I would definitely would love the be artistic. To be able to paint a landscape, play a song on a piano... I do have singing capabilities. So I do have SOME talent LOL 3.  Do you ditch the coat the minute it becomes "spring" or are you a holdout for more cool temps? As soon as there is a spring day GOOD-BYE coat! Saturday we spent the morning at home playing and then we got ready to go to the aqaurium! We took Jaysen and Olivia! They had a blast! Running from fish to fish! Jaysen loved everything! Olivia said "Lala I want to see the big ones!" They both wanted to swim with the sharks :) He was waving at the fishes! Olivia and I infront of the Shark tank!  Jaysen trying to climb over Josh to go swimming with the Sharks! HE loved everything! Is this not just sweet?

These three words have been my cry all week. I had my nephew Jaysen with us and it broke my heart to send him home. The uncertainty of his home life scares me. He is so sweet! I love his smile and giggle! At times it was a struggle to keep up and rearrange our life to include a (almost) 3 year old toddler. He was FULL of energy!!  At times I did get frustrated, but then he would run and give me a hug. I would forget I just told to stop getting in the fridge for the hundredth time :) Last night was very upsetting. As we said good-bye to him and he poked out his little lip... and then when I got home and seen his bed that was empty in my room... Crying again ugh! Lets talk about his visit! Friday my dad watched him and that afternoon I took him to the park! He had a blast! Running after the older kids trying to communicate. Since his speech is very delayed the other kids were just looking at him, and you know what? It didn't seem to faze him at ALL! Of course the Aunt in me was l

Media a stumbling block in your marriage?

I'm linking up with Jessica at Stilettos and a fishing pole Media. Media has a negative effect on not just marriages but every relationship. I can't tell you how many times I've seen families all together and all on their phones or Ipods or what ever electronic they have. I know personally media has effected my marriage. With my husbands permission, I will tell you he is addicted to media.  When we first were dating he would tell how tired he was because he had been on the computer all night. Then we got married and for a while he still did that. Until I had to confront him on the issue. It would hurt my feelings going to bed alone so he could just look up "one more thing". That was his favorite phrase. So, because it bothered me so much we made a deal. He had an hour a day. We went to bed together. The electronics off.  Unfortunately there have been people in our lives think this controlling of me, and that hurts. But only Josh and I know how it was af

Date Night - "Hackers"

So as I mentioned in my previous post I had planned this whole date night just for me and J! It was so much fun getting it all together!! I first picked a theme (got my inspiration at Dating Diva's  I highly recommend checking them out). Theme: Hackers (husbands favorite movie) Items: 1. quotes from the movie printed out and placed around the living room 2. 2 envelopes with rose petals with instructions on what to do next 3. Jar decorated by me with strips of questions (Getting to know you better) from the Dating Diva's 4. Carry bag with candle, PB&J, Apple 5. Movie Poster for door All week I had been texting him little snippets of the surprise date. Not giving him really anything to go on :)) On Tuesday I sent him a invite in his email. I wrote a reminder on our message board in the kitchen on Wednesday. Friday I sent him a reminder email. By Saturday he was SO excited. Not knowing what scheme I had worked up. OK, so Josh had to work Saturday and his instructions

1.  Will you run to the store or to pick up a kid looking a mess? Well we don't have kids, so when we get there I'm sure I'll look a mess sometimes. I do however always have lipgloss, or something on... :) 2.  Do you finish a book if it's boring or you don't like it? If it doesn't grab my attention I put the book down. I have other books to read :) 3. B each or mountain vacations? BOTH!! I love the mountains and go there more frequently because it's closer. I would LOVE to go to the beach more! 4.  What thing/event says "winter will end and spring is right around the corner" to you? Probably when I get sinus headaches! LOL... Thats not pleasant but lets me know everything is in bloom! 5.  Would you prefer couples or family vacation? I think both are good! You need time as a couple, but family vacations are always a recipe for great memories!  Happy Blogging!!

Thoughtful Thursday: Modifiche

Modifiche: (French) Adjust, alteration  "My Life", in reality its not mine at all. When I accepted Jesus at the young age of 3, he captivated me. Through the years of growing, learning, and failing HE had never left me. Over the last few months there have been some modifications. I want to share from my heart. Which is maybe why I haven't wrote that much. With so much going on I tend to run away from the confronting and dealing with "heavy" stuff. Remember the  "Pushdownism" chick here (If your thinking what in the world is that read about it here )!! First my grandfather was in the hospital, and the thought of losing him takes the breath right out of me. I'm really close to my maternal grandparents. They are pillars in my life. Not having them would be extremely difficult, I know the day will come, but the longer the Lord tarry's with that the better :) && don't be surprised if you see my blog title change =)  Getting back on t

Hospitals, miscommunications, and Five Question Friday , OH MY!

What a week. I have sat down three or four times to blog to only be interuppted by different things. For one my grandfather went into the hospital with an infection that if not cleared up by the test this afternoon they will be doing surgery. So please say a prayer for him. Then there is school work.. which I lagging behind. I was planning on changing the name of my blog, but I want to write why, and it be thoughtful. So it may have to wait until I'm I can sit and concentrate on it. Then Josh and I had a couple of 'off' days. When we are not exactly communicating effectively. We finally sat down, talked, and prayed. Got some things BACK on track. So now for something I look forward to every week :)  Linking up with Mama M .  1.  Where is your favorite vacation spot and why? Probably the mountains. Even though I live close to them. I just find them so peaceful. To see some of God's most beautiful creations. Love it!  2.  What is your biggest guilty p
