Aunt LaLa

I turned 32. As I do every year I look forward to my birthday. And I ponder. I think about my life the past year and if I have changed. Am I going into the new year different than the last? Have you noticed that I have an analytical mind? (smile) As I have gotten older, one question in particular has gotten louder in my head... Am I making a difference? If you hang around here you know Jesus is my number one passion. Followed by my husband and sweet little boy. But I am more than just a wife or a mother. I have to check in with myself every now and then to make sure that I'm being Mindful and doing what God has called me to do as my own person. Part of my calling is to be a wife, and a mother, but it is also a call to be in the ministry and to grow the kingdom of God. I want to make a difference. I want to have the kind of Legacy that when people look back on my life after I'm gone that they think "wow, God really showed in her ...

Tomorrow is the day. Hope's 2nd annual balloon release. The day we remember all the babies lost. Ones we have got to hold, carry, love, even the ones we didn't get to meet face to face.  They are all equally important and missed.  I wrote an article for Happy Wives Club titled Happy With My Family of Two God knew excatly when this needed to be published what wife/women needed to read it. Infertility, loss, PCOS are HARD journey's to take.  Last year I fought hard to enjoy life again, very hard. I had to make a choice and this article talks a little about that. I had to embrace our family of two.  Just to clarify, J and I are completely open to adoption or what ever avenue God sees fit to give us a child. Where does time go?? Today 4 years ago I was made an aunt for the second time. My nephew JJ was born... I love him so dearly! This little boy is a fighter! He was born 4 weeks early and had collarbone broken during birth! Yet he was a good baby, didn't cry much, and had LOTS of smiles and giggles to offer! His smile and laugh are the sweetest sounds! I miss him and wish he was in the same state as our family but alas... he has a home and a life in GA with his mommy :) JJ, LaLa loves you with all her heart! I cannot believe that 4years has already gone by!! You little guy are a ray of sunshine in our life. I know that God has great plans for you!! I have to have one of those random lives that people look at me like I'm joking when I tell them things. Maybe I think too much of myself... oh well. I think my life has some quirks! (Smile) Some thing I've never expeirenced happened Saturday morning! I experienced an earthquake! There was an earthquake in Kentucky and we felt the aftershocks from there passed us to Georgia! If you have ever never expeirenced this... well it is really just.. weird, for lack of a better word It felt as if someone was standing at the corner of my house and pushing it back and forth. It last for what seemed forever but was probably right under a minute. I really didn't realize until afterward what happened... I thought a big gust of wind and a tree was falling! But everyone was fine, but I believe there was extensive damage in KY. So say a prayer for those folks. I did see a funny pic yesterday on Facebook and I have to share... My beautiful niece,  You have brought so much joy to La La's life. I love your sweet smile and sweet spirit. Your love for prayer and worship melts my heart!
