Choosing...
Have you ever heard that song "Praise You In This Storm" by Casting Crowns? Well take a listen
This is my heart right now... I'm praising God through the all the difficult situations I'm facing right now. I know I can rest in the arms of him...
These are the lyrics
I was sure by now
God You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
And I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
And every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to you
And you raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You
But as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
There are a couple things I highlighted because this is what my heart is focusing on right now... I'm choosing to praise him through these storms.

That's all we can do sometimes, Lauren...is just raise our hands to the Lord and Praise Him, even though we may not feel like it. He will give you strength to ride it out. Thinking about you! :)

DeleteLauren, I love this song. I remember the day I was in the back of the ambulance when I was miscarrying the triplets, the thoughts of, "how could God let this happen," and "God must not care," kept flooding my mind. I then and there said outloud, " I will not stop praising God!" I'm so thankful I fought all the thoughts the enemy was throwing my way and I made up my mind to always praise God. He tells us that every good and perfect gift comes from above, and that if it steals, kills or destroys it is from the enemy. I'm so glad that even in our storms He is right there and we can trust Him and praise Him, even with tears running down our face. We may not undertand the why of things here, but one day, when we know as He knows, all will be well and glorious.
