Congrats to Jenni and Samone!  These lucky ladies won a Happy Wives Club Book! Thanks for entering everyone! Working on a post with all the update of Baby L! We are 12 weeks and going to the Dr. Thursday! New pictures!!  I'm showing my baby bump too! Heehee! So excited! Have to brag on my husband just a minute. He has been so incredibly supportive through this whole process. He has dealt with his own insecurities and fears just like I have, yet he has been my rock. He has been understanding. Husbands, you being there just listening or offering a hug or a kiss on the forehead goes such a long way. Even better, take initiative. So we are 7 days into 2014 and I've been doing some contemplating on this year. We started the year off freezing to the point of numbness... Seriously it took more than an hour to get feeling back in my derrière ! HA! But it was so much fun! Starting the year with great friends! Getting to see the ball drop in Pigeon Forge at the Island! Seeing the band and the light show! It was a great time!  This year has started off great really! Tomorrow is the day. Hope's 2nd annual balloon release. The day we remember all the babies lost. Ones we have got to hold, carry, love, even the ones we didn't get to meet face to face.  They are all equally important and missed.  I wrote an article for Happy Wives Club titled Happy With My Family of Two God knew excatly when this needed to be published what wife/women needed to read it. Infertility, loss, PCOS are HARD journey's to take.  Last year I fought hard to enjoy life again, very hard. I had to make a choice and this article talks a little about that. I had to embrace our family of two.  Just to clarify, J and I are completely open to adoption or what ever avenue God sees fit to give us a child. I've been doing this fabulous devotional that I cannot wait to share with you all.  It has challenged me as being a wife for sure. I decided that I wanted to show my husband extravagantly love. I work hard to love like Christ would, but sometimes I think as wives we forget our marriages are to be examples of the love of the church and God.  I was just really inspired to do something for my Josh....  An Italian Romantic Dinner.  Now, I'm not a Paula Deen, Emeril Lagasse, and others...  I do have some awesome recipes passed to me and I can be inventive :) I decided to make: "Poppie's Italian Chicken"  Cheddar garlic biscuits Italian salad I created the "ambiance"  Josh took this one. When we got married I knew that marriage was not all fun and happy times. You go through life together... The ups the downs and the in-between There have been some really highs and some really lows. But we have CHOSE to be together and fight for what we have. I prayed for my husband from the age of 13. I didn't want to settle for second best. I wanted my prince charming. A conversation I had with my best buddy is sticking with me. We get caught up in life. And we take for granted that we have that special person. We get used to the care they give us. Double check with yourself. Are you appreciative of what your spouses did for you? When is the last time you thanked your spouse for going to work for your.family? Or Do you nag? Try to change them? Snap at them? Don't take for granted that your spouse chooses to stay every day... there are other choices. You know them. So let's be a thankful for that choice... Food for thought...no I...

Josh and I have not been able to find a couple that lives around us that we connect really well with that are around our age. We have great people in our life! But we just never found that "Hangout" couple. I have kept in touch with one of my friends from my late teens. We have been friends for almost 10 years now! A few months ago we finally made plans to get together so that our husbands could meet. They of course hit it off immediately! They have so much in common! Since then we have hung out quite often! Fawn over at Happy Wives Club wrote an great post about one of my favorite subjects. Perspective. This one word I think could change all relationships and situations for yourself as well as others. But today's focus is on marriage. When J and I first began to get serious (hehe which was on our 5th date) we both came from different backgrounds, upbringings, and beliefs about all sorts of things. We had so much in common, but we had somethings that needed to be worked on. One of the things I had to learn was to see things from J's perspective. We all have our own way of doing things. And in a marriage a main tool to use is compromise. J was an only child, I am a middle child. So you can imagine the different roles we each play in our families. J was completely and totally spoiled by his parents. He was /is their life. So when we got married J was not accustomed to "Helping" around the house. I remember when J and I first got married.... that first year held plenty of practice to deal with conflict. Your first year of marriage is one of bliss, change, compromise, and making up ; ) Those who read my blog daily know that I am a student still. I'm working on a degree... Honestly, I feel that my marriage is an atmosphere for learning just like my college class rooms. I have been taught more things about my self, life, love, death, and so on than in any other area of my life through our marriage. God has used our marriage as a teaching tool for sure! No matter how much you love each other.... Sorry to tell you there WILL be conflict. If there isn't then I would look at how honest you both are with each other. Because joining two different people in all of life's crazy happenings is not one of ease. So, just some pointers that I've learned in my marriage to handle conflict... (I by no means have perfected these!) 1. Let your pride GO!...
